Version 3.10.6
Due to an error with our content delivery network, a significant number of users found themselves stuck with a corrupted installer for the latest version of KaraFun. This update introduces safeguards to prevent error loops when attempting an installation.
✨ Currently Playing Item
Several users reported an inability to see the karaoke singer currently playing, as well as being unable to right-click on it, unlike other items in the queue. This has been rectified in this version! Right-clicking and a dedicated button now allow you to access the same menu as before.
🐞 Fixes
- A corrupted update could cause an unavoidable "spawn UNKNOWN" error
- The detailed history for a day was not functioning for timezones GMT±12 and beyond.

The biggest change is with the player: it now highlights the current track and offers controls dedicated to different activities. As before, you can adjust volumes during karaoke, but now you have better control over your quizzes, with the host able to know the correct answer in advance or trigger a karaoke interlude!
🚀 Enhanced performance
This autumn, we've improved the responsiveness of lists, allowing even the largest playlists to be displayed in full without interface freezing or delays! These optimisations apply to all song and quiz lists within the app.
The app now launches faster, with some start-up operations parallelised and optimised. Slowdowns have been addressed for users with lots of playlists.
📒 Revised history
It's now easier to navigate your past songs, with up to 10 items displayed per day and the option to view a full day if needed!
We also realised that the history wasn't self-cleaning as we'd designed: it will now only retain 200 items at most, no older than 90 days, just like our other applications.
Exporting history in CSV format is still possible via a right-click in the sidebar.

We reworked the song options dialog: a “cancel” button now allows closing the window without adding anything to the queue, while the “add without options” has been removed.
The order of buttons has also been changed in the whole application; the main button (“OK”, “Validate”, etc.) is now shown on the left to better respect Windows design conventions.

Following some user feedback, leaving the Singer Rotation mode does not delete queued songs anymore! The order is preserved when switching back into “Queue” mode, only the groups are removed.
For PRO users, a new submenu in the “View” menu allows for quick switching between display modes of the queue. For non-PRO users, this submenu is invisible, and the queue header will not show the select menu either (Singer Rotation being only available to PROs anyway).

🔄️ Fairer nights with Singer Rotation
Singer Rotation is here! For PRO subscribers, the queue can now be switched to this new mode so that singers take turns. Prepare your night in advance or create groups on the fly, KaraFun will make sure that everyone gets to sing!
The remote is automatically handled and will create a group per new user, which you will be able to manage at will.
The next singer must leave for a minute? Handle priorities between songs to stay in control in the face of unexpected changes!

So much time has passed since the first stable version of KaraFun Windows! We have received a lot of feedback and have done our best to address the most important requests, along with new features around community songs and quality of life!
🌐 Community
- If you have already uploaded CDGs to KaraFun, a new "Community" page will appear in the app to manage your community songs.
- At the same time, discover KaraFun Studio, a new tool for creating karaoke for the community! A link is available in the application’s "File" menu.
- Community songs can now be downloaded and added to playlists, just like songs and quizzes from our catalog!
