How does the KaraFun's catalog work?

The KaraFun catalog offers a vast and evolving collection of karaoke songs. This article explains how the KaraFun catalog works, why some songs may be missing, how often new titles are added, and how you can suggest new tracks.

Why are some titles no longer available in the catalog?

In some cases, rights holders may request the removal of certain karaoke videos from the KaraFun catalog. Even though we have agreements with major music publishers, we are legally required to comply with these requests when they occur.

Our priority is to provide a fully legal service that respects the decisions of artists and publishers. We continuously work to resolve these situations and obtain new permissions whenever possible.

How often is the catalog updated?

The KaraFun catalog is updated almost every day. New songs are automatically added each time you launch the app.

You can also discover the most recent additions by visiting the latest karaoke releases section available from the homepage.

How new tracks are selected

Two main factors influence the production of new karaoke tracks on KaraFun:

  1. We must have the legal rights to use the song, obtained from artists and publishers.
  2. The popularity of the song, based largely on suggestions from our users.

This approach allows us to focus on producing popular songs that we are authorized to offer.

How can I suggest missing songs?

If you’d like to request a song, you can submit a suggestion through our dedicated song request page. Once your suggestion reaches the appropriate number of votes, our team will review and produce it.

Please keep in mind that producing a karaoke track can take time, and we cannot guarantee a release date even if we have the rights and materials. For this reason, we kindly ask you not to contact technical support regarding song suggestions.

Tips

  • Unavailable songs are often linked to licensing restrictions.
  • You can only vote for a song once.
  • Don't hesitate to encourage your friends and family to vote for your favorite songs to give them more chances to get produced.
  • If you vote for a song and it gets produced, you will receive an email to notify you.

But, there are many songs that I love which, although there are in your catalog, they are unfortunately unavailable for now... I really hope that you can find a solution with the copyright owners, and offer us also these songs. Either way, thank you very much for your work :)
